Our Pregnancy Pilates class in Essex focusses on preparing the body for the journey ahead; pregnancy, labour and motherhood.
The classes incorporate conditioning of the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, mobility work to ease aches and pains, stretching and strengthening of muscles to assist posture and breathing techniques. The classes are even suitable for those with Pelvic Girdle Pain/Symphysis Pubis Disorder and can really help to alleviate some of the discomfort.
The exercises are in various positions, some of which are brilliant for labour so you’re building up stamina in these positions while you exercise. We even include our breathing and relaxation techniques for labour so we’re getting the oxytocin flowing!
It’s an ideal all round class for those wishing to give themselves time to relax while proactively nurturing their body.
